鞍馬口から徒歩5分、閑静な住宅街の一角にあります。
海外在住の方のセカンドハウスとしてリノベーションをしました。
建物はウナギの寝床で、改修前は窓が少なく暗い雰囲気だったので
1階の真中に中庭を設けました。
ダイニング、ラウンジ、浴室から中庭の植物を眺めることができます。
中庭は季節を感じることができますし、雰囲気をパッと明るくしてくれます。
家具の選定も担当し、ラウンジにはハンス・J・ウェグナーのソファを配しました。
ソファに座って中庭を眺めながら飲むコーヒーは格別に美味しそうです。
2階には書斎兼寝室、小上がりのタタミスペース、収納があります。


This house is located on a corner in a residential area, 5 minutes walk from Kuramaguchi.
It was renovated as a second house for people living abroad.
The building was rectangle and dark with few windows, so we decided to create a courtyard in the middle of the first floor.
The dining room, lounge, and bathroom all offer views of the courtyard's plants and brighten up the entire first floor.
We were also in charge of the furniture selection, and the lounge is furnished with a Hans J. Wegner sofa.
Sitting on the sofa and enjoying a cup of coffee while looking out over the courtyard looks exceptionally delicious.
On the second floor, there is a bedroom, a Japanese-style room, and a storage room.
